One Day at a Time in Al-Anon:

It was quite a while before I came to realize that the Twelve Steps and the Serenity Prayer could be applied to all my problems, whether or not they were related to alcoholism. Now that I try to use these helps every day, my life seems to move from one miracle to another! I know the joy of beginning each day expectantly, confident that it will hold good things for me. And if a crisis arises, or any problem baffles me, I hold it up to the light of the Serenity Prayer and extract its sting before it can hurt me.

Today’s Reminder:

When we are strengthened by the Al-Anon philosophy, we find ourselves able to look at things in their proper perspective. We don’t let them get too close to us, lest they take on fearsome proportions that do not reflect their real character.

“I pray to accept, with a serene mind, the things I cannot change, knowing it is futile to be obstinate about the inevitable. I pray to be resolute to take action in things that must be changed.”
